Recording Life Seasons

In my writing and art I endeavor to capture the seasons of life.

The season of our lives changes as we move through life and experience all it means to be human. Whether I am writing a story, a novel or a simple poem, I endeavour to capture the essence of who we are, where we come from, and to whom we belong. In my art work it is the cycle of life and the changes in the yearly seasons I seek to capture.

There Is a Season

To everything there is a season,

A time for every purpose under heaven,

A time to be born,

And a time to die,

A time to plant,

Amd a time to pluck what is planted,

A time to kill,

And a time to heal,

A time to break down,

And a time to build up,

A time to weep,

And a time to laugh,

A time to mourn,

And a time to dance,

A time to cast stones,

And a time to gather stones,

A time to embrace,

And a time to refrain from embracing,

A time to gain,

And a time to lose,

A time to keep,

And a time to throw away,

A time to tear,

And a time to sew,

A time to keep slience,

And a time to speak,

A time to love,

And a time to hate,

A time of war,

And a time of peace.

Christmas Pics

Wow! For Me! I like Christmas . . .
Was the night before Christmas, not a creature was
stirring not even a cat at Deb's house . . .

Christmas Blessings!

Celebrate Christmas

Without Christmas there would be no Easter,

No Christ Child to rescue those fallen on earth,

No grace to give us reason to hope,

No joy or peace, nor the presence of eternal love.

No angels would have announced his birth,

No Shepherds would come to worship Him.

No wise men would come to present the gifts,

To foretell the agony and torture of His death.

No one to take our place on the cross,

No Saviour to shed his blood for us,

No removal of the stain of our sin,

No such thing as everlasting life in the presence of the king.

So celebrate Christmas

The birth of the Redeemer,

Savour the Hope, Peace and Joy,

Remembering the child born to die on the cross!

It's International Day of People with Disabilities!

A day for people with disabilities to celebrate the ABILITIES

So here's a poem to celebrate some of my abilities

LITTLE GEMS!

I may have a disability,

But let’s focus on ABILITIES!

My would contains many gems,

So let me share a few of them.

To fight for those who can’t speak,

To look for answers they can’t seek,

To be a voice through my pen,

By spilling out my little gems.

I look at the world with different eyes,

To share my secrets with the unwise,

To learn to laugh, love and play,

To plan adventures for future days!

To challenge that of status quo,

To laugh even when I’m feeling low,

To inspire people to dream,

Challenging them to swim up stream,

To show the world a different way,

Inviting them to come and play,

Although I need to bend the rules,

I too can play to secure my jewels.

Ok so my gems may differ,

And you play a little quicker,

I can still win this game of life,

Gaining my piece of paradise,

A CHALLENGE!

Whether you like it or not we all have disabilities,
So you can see while others you can't,
A disability is something that impairs ones ability
to perform a task, without the assistance of an 'aid'.
So if you're reading this with your glass on
I'm afraid to tell you that you have a disability.
A disability may be physical, intellectual, psychological,
emotional, behavioural, social, or financial.
So if you can cross all those things off
Congulations your one of the very few people who
Don't have a disability.

Oh yeah, if you don't wear glasses, but
you find yourself enlarging the font to
read my blog or need to move a book
closer or further away then that's a
disability too!

HAVE A GREAT DAY!
