Recording Life Seasons

In my writing and art I endeavor to capture the seasons of life.

The season of our lives changes as we move through life and experience all it means to be human. Whether I am writing a story, a novel or a simple poem, I endeavour to capture the essence of who we are, where we come from, and to whom we belong. In my art work it is the cycle of life and the changes in the yearly seasons I seek to capture.

There Is a Season

To everything there is a season,

A time for every purpose under heaven,

A time to be born,

And a time to die,

A time to plant,

Amd a time to pluck what is planted,

A time to kill,

And a time to heal,

A time to break down,

And a time to build up,

A time to weep,

And a time to laugh,

A time to mourn,

And a time to dance,

A time to cast stones,

And a time to gather stones,

A time to embrace,

And a time to refrain from embracing,

A time to gain,

And a time to lose,

A time to keep,

And a time to throw away,

A time to tear,

And a time to sew,

A time to keep slience,

And a time to speak,

A time to love,

And a time to hate,

A time of war,

And a time of peace.

Ecclesiastes 3: 1 - 8

The Friday . .

And before the roster cried three times Peter had denied knowing Jesus.

Although Jesus Christ had committed no crime he was brought before Pilate. Pilate found no charges against Jesus and wanted to release him. But the crowd cried for him to be nailed to a cross. According to Jewish tradition it was customary for a prisoner to be released during the feast of Passover,  Pilate offered to release Jesus but they cried for Barabus to be released.

However again the crowd cried they shouted, “Crucify! Crucify!”

One Friday

One Friday

God was silent

The angels stood still,

As Jesus’ hands and feet were nailed to the cross.

One Friday

God was silent

The angels stood still,

As his only son was dying.

One Friday

God was silent

The angels stood still,

As Jesus, cried `my God, my God! Why have you forsaken me?

One Friday

God was silent

The angels stood still,

As Jesus’ head hung to the ground.

One Friday

God was silent

The angels stood still,

So we could have eternal life.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life"

John 3:16
